Massage Therapy Manual techniques that invoke relaxation

Massage Therapy is a natural approach to healing, and it affects the systems of the body; musculo-skeletal, integumentary, digestive, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic, endocrine, and nervous systems.

People who are affected by arthritis, injuries, stress, anxiety, pain or tingling in arms or legs, joint restrictions, back pain, poor posture, painful or tight muscles, fluid retention, women who are pregnant, athletes, and children are all great candidates for massage therapy.

Massage Therapy is both a preventative and a recovery approach to maintaining and increasing muscle and joint function while reducing pain. It is an excellent treatment on its own, but can be utilized greatly in conjunction with other therapies such as acupuncture and chiropractic as well as exercise and rehabilitation (from injury, surgery and disease).

All of our RMTs are registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).

Carly Goldberg
RMT, CAT(C)

Carly Goldberg, RMT, CAT(C) – Carly is a graduate of York University’s Kinesiology and Health Science and Athletic Therapy programs. She is certified with the Canadian Athletic Therapist Association, and the Ontario Athletic Therapists Association. Carly has completed her Massage Therapy program at the Ontario College of Health and Technology and is registered to the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).

As an Athletic Therapist, Carly has worked with athletes of all levels, from tyke football to Masters track world record holders. With expertise in concussions and taping, Carly is currently working with football, cheerleading, and roller derby clubs.

Her interest in concussions arose from a personal experience; knowing how difficult it can be to overcome concussion symptoms inspires her to help others. She has created and implemented concussion protocols for local sport clubs, and is currently baseline testing athletes.

Carly has experience with the industrial athlete; she worked inside a car manufacturing plant treating line workers with over-use injuries. Using both, hands-on and active treatments, she was able to help many workers return to work, not just pain free, but stronger and more resilient.

As an adjunct to her massage therapy practice, Carly has recently introduced "Cupping". Cupping therapy is a type of negative pressure massage where suction is applied to the surface of the body using silicone cups. Cupping is said to improve blood circulation, lymphatic flow throughout the body and increases relaxation.
